How to Create and Modify Aweber Auto Campaigns? Step by Step Images

Open Aweber, choose any list and go to

Automations => Campaigns => Create Campaign

Select Blank Campaign:

Give Suitable name to the campaign and then choose the option of “Tag Applied”

at this place give the first trigger tag that will start the campaign which is “test campaign start”

Now create the message here which you want to send in this campaign

First Drag and drop “Send Message” in the center

Now select Send Message in the center and click on “Create a message” button available at the right side of the window:

and choose “Drag & Drop Email Builder”

this will take you to the window where you have to select and select the prebuilt message template and give subject to it. Click on “Templates”

Choose “My templates” and then select the template of your choice from the available list. In this case I am choosing “Holistic Mail 1” hit apply after selection. Then Refresh the page, your new template will be displayed.

Give the subject of your choice and then hit “save and exit”

Once the message part is done now its time to set up automations, for doing this click on “Add Automations”

Select the trigger first, in this case I choose “Clicks a link”

Click on “Select links”

Now from here choose the links which you want your subscriber to click so that after that only the person is able to receive the second mail.

In my case I have selected one link on my message which i want my subscriber to click must. Here all the web links which you have inserted on your preset message template is displaying. Any number of links you can choose from here.

Next choose Apply

from the next option choose “Add/Remove” option

Now at the options given of Adding and Removing tag we will add the new trigger tag which will hit the second mail to shoot automatically and remove the previous tag from here as in this case our new tag to be add will be “test first mail sent” and tag to remove will be “test campaign start”. Any mistake done here will not result in the other sequential mail to shoot.

After this click on “Add Action”

and choose “Remove Subscriber from the campaign”

after this click on “Apply” and then Click on “Save and Exit”. In this way your first campaign is set up complete.

At present the campaign is in “Draft” mode, click on “Activate campaign” to live your first campaign.

Once this is done we will move to setup our second Mail or second sequential campaign which will trigger our second mail automatically when the user clicked on the respective link we have specified over there.

For second mail we will follow the same process as we did in the first mail like

Automations => Campaigns => Create Campaign

Select Blank Campaign:

Name your Second Campaign. I am taking name “Testing Campaign2”

Choose “Tag Applied”

First click on tag applied section and write down the tag which will trigger this email and you will put that tag here which you have given in your first mail to trigger the sequence mail i.e “test first mail sent”

Drag and drop “Send Message” in the center and then choose the pre-set message from the template gallery. I am choosing “Holistic Mail 2” in my case for my second mail.

Give appropriate subject here and then save and exit from this window.

Now when you out of this editor. As we did earlier

Click on “Add Automations”

Choose on “clicks a link”

Choose the link which you want user to click.

then Add or Remove the tags

remove the previous tag and add the new tag which “test first mail sent” and add new tag that is “test second mail sent”

then remove the subscriber from the campaign and hit apply

After that click on “Save and Exit”

Activate the campaign, that’s all with second mail auto campaign setup.

Now we will Create the third auto mail which is in sequence loop with the first and second mail. Same process we will follow here now as we did in second mail like

Campaigns => Create Campaign

Select Blank Campaign:

Name your Second Campaign. I am taking name “Testing Campaign3”

Choose “Tag Applied”

First click on tag applied section and write down the tag which will trigger this email and you will put that tag here which you have given in your first mail to trigger the sequence mail i.e “test second mail sent”

Drag and drop “Send Message” in the center and then choose the pre-set message from the template gallery. I am choosing “Holistic Mail 3” in my case for my second mail.

Give appropriate subject here and then save and exit from this window.

Now when you out of this editor. As we did earlier

Click on “Add Automations”

At this position choose “Opens the message” instead of choosing “Clicks a link”

then choose Add/Remove Tags, and give the tags as given below. Removing the previously given tag and give the final tag as “test campaign finished”

then remove subscriber from the campaign.

Hit Apply and then save and exit. After that activate the campaign and done. YOU HAVE SET UP ALL THE THREE MAIL IN SEQUENCE IN AUTO CAMPAIGN.
